Sharif and Sam of EOS Dublin were interviewed on EOS GO on Monday. We’re on at 1:00:31. Also appearing on this episode were Tokenika and EOS Asia. We were impressed with EOS Asia’s application concepts, and with Tokenika’s experience working with Steem and their overall professionalism.
Here’s some highlights from the interview from EOS Dublin’s CEO, Sharif Bouktila:
As I became interested in EOS, I was looking for a local Irish community and there wasn’t one, so I started it. Ireland needs to be part of this project. We want to nurture developers coming in and deliver value for the network as a whole. We have an open invitation to work with people. Get in touch at eosdublin.com.
The EOS project needs political and geographic diversity, and Ireland is a natural location to have a block producer and create a node that offers resilience and independence.
To me the next stage is mainstream. We need to add value to this great operating system that’s been developed and work closely with developers to create apps for the public. The users of these apps won’t know that they’re on blockchain, they’ll just notice that their applications work better, or they’ll get rewarded for using it, or they’ll realize it’s more secure, faster, and more trustworthy. When people have that experience in an app there will be mass adoption, even though people may not realize what technology is powering it.
CTO Sam Noble shared what inspires him to work on EOS:
Blockchain technology is growing rapidly. There is so much momentum behind blockchain technology now it’s exciting to be a part of it and contribute by doing our part to make sure the infrastructure is secure and reliable. Every day is a new challenge and a new surprise, but we’re part of a project with thousands of contributors, and we’re creating change. When blockchain technology does go mainstream, people might not even know that it is there but it will be a big change.
