Some people have some crazy positions… don’t they?
Whales hate Telos!
Why in gods name would anyone hate a project which is gifting them free value?
It’s like a lottery ticket, but even better. It’s a lottery ticket which you don’t have to buy and has a dedicated smart team working hard to make your ticket a winner.
Telos will have a max supply of about 350m. If a TLOS gets to $1 in the next 24 months, those whales get to cash in their lottery ticket for $40,000.
Who wouldn’t like $40,000?
Back at the start of July Douglas Horn reached out to me for feedback and support for their Telos Project.
Here is an extract of the email which I sent him back at the time.

Hi Douglas ,
Just coming back with some feedback. At the moment we currently don’t have the bandwidth to commit to the Teleos project.
As a small independent team we need to remain focused. Currently as well as running as a Standby BP and trying to move up the ranks we have 3 other EOS projects in flight. (1 Community, 1 Announced and 1 in Stealth). We have decided to remain 100% EOS Mainnet focused for the next 3 months and see how things look then.
A couple of discussion points on the Teleos proposition.
1. While I see the need to cut the whales out of the picture to have a more distributed engaged user base, the 40k limit seems blunt for the snapshot. While I personally know zero whales, It’s safe to assume they have been in the space for a while and are powerful in terms of investment for lots of crypto projects.
… [about 6 more points on items which have all changed from the original white paper]
Best of Luck with Teleos, we will be keenly watching and if there is anything you think we can help with do get in touch.
The community as a whole will grow stronger working together, I see Telos as a natural part of the EOS project and landscape.
Talk soon,
Sharif

After that I didn’t think too much more about Telos and but knew they were still working in the background.
Has that not launched yet? What is taking them so long?? I’d occasionally think.
In early October en route to our Portland Meetup, I had lunch and a couple of beers with Doug in Seattle, we discussed all things EOS, he said they were getting close.
Since I’ve been working with some other Telos BPs on another not so secret EOSIO project launching in the new year.
Then last week in Oslo, Josep from eosBarcelona was awesomely relentless in persuading us to take another look at Telos.
So this week I did, and fuck me they are doing things well.
They have wallets, explorers, exchanges, Flatter BP pay distribution , Rotating BackUp BPs, Arbitration, Worker Proposal System, dAPP development support programs and best of all they get to run EOSIO code.
Check out their Launch checklist — https://telosfoundation.io/launch
We are a back up BP on Mainnet , an active BP on Worbli and as soon as Telos vote GO, we will be calling regprod there and looking to serve and support in what ever position the Telos community decide for us.
We will be running simply as eosDublin. We look forward to being a voice to bridge the gap between the 3 major EOSIO projects.
There will be many many EOSIO chains , each with a slightly different flavour.
Telos at first sounded a bit nuts, but nuts taste awesome.
We are all underdogs.
As I said in my mail back in July.
